Money Saving apps post #3 Fetch

Fetch is up for my roundup of money saving apps today. This will probably be the shortest post and one of the easiest apps to use as well!
Here are the details.
1,000 Fetch points = $1 so to get a $25 Old Navy card you will need 25,000 points. I am saving up for a Visa card which does cost you a bit more at 27,000 points.

For the absolute easiest way to use this app I would just scan in every receipt you have from the following places: Grocery, supermarkets, club wholesalers, home improvement/hardware, pet and convenience stores.  You will get points just for taking a photo of your receipt.

To get more strategic about your points visit the "Save" button on your app here you can choose from Special Offers or Brands to see what items will get you even more points. I love that you can save items to your list, this way you can quickly see which items you might actually purchase in one condensed spot.

You must scan in your receipts within 14 days of purchase.

Limit to 14 scanned receipts in a 7 day rolling period.

If your account is inactive for 90 days points will expire, the app does state they will send you an email before this happens though.

Cash out as low as 3,000 points.

At the rate I am going I figure I will earn a $25 Visa card every 6 weeks or so for simply scanning in my receipts, if I shopped from the list a little better I bet I would earn it quicker. Although as a general rule I don't buy items even with coupons or rebates/points etc. Unless it's something I would typically buy and it is cheaper than store brand.

Here is a pic of one of my screens.  I didn't look at the app before going into Meijer all I did was scan it when I got home, sure 25pts doesn't seem like much but it took me a few seconds to scan in a photo and it will add up! :)

Right now (Jan2020) if you sign up through my link or use my referral code YT3UE we will each get an additional 2,000 points!

Do you have any questions on how to use Fetch shoot me a message and I will do my best to answer them.

Money Saving Apps Post #2 Swagbucks

Welcome back for post #2 in my series of
money saving apps!
This is my most favorite way to make money so far!
Here is my referral link: Swagbucks
This post will be one of the longest, there is a lot to Swagbucks and I will do my best to keep it concise.

I joined about 2 weeks ago and have since earned over 11,733 Swagbucks (SB's). With 100 SB's = $1 that is over $117 I've made in a less than my first month using this app!!!! I have cashed in 2-$25 virtual visas so far and it is quite an easy process.

Here are a few of the ways you can earn money.

1) Fill out your profile survey: this gets you 2SB's per 10 questions which doesn't seem like a whole lot, but the questions are quick and helps the site to give you surveys you will actually qualify for. This saves you a lot of time in the long run!

2) Install the Swag button this gives you an easy 100 SB's

3) Complete your daily to-do list. Once you have completed 6 of the 8 you get a bonus with a second bonus if you complete all 8.
the 8 items on the to-do list are as follows
      1) Daily Poll: super quick one question poll.
      2) Daily Search: All you have to do here is search for something in the search bar whether its     directions to the zoo or how to make a peach pie anything will do. It doesn't happen often but sometimes a search can give you random SB's too! I've gotten 14SB's for searching a few times now.
      3) Deal of the Day: All you have to do is click on the deal of the day link and check it out, no need to purchase or sign up for anything.
      4) Daily Activity: Right now you click on it and it asks you to install the Swag Button which I have already done.  It has remained this same thing for about a week now, but so long as I click on it I still get it crossed off my list.
      5) Daily Discover: Here is where you will find your great "money makers" ( I will describe in detail below).  Also there are a lot of great deals here if you are wishing to try something out for free before making a commitment.  Only the deals that say you will get your SB's immediately will cross of your Daily Discover on your to-do list.  Because of this I don't get this crossed off each day, but it's ok I am only shooting for the 6 done each day.
      6) Daily Watch: Click here to start the ad player. I haven't used this feature much, but I know a lot of people will have these videos constantly playing in the background of whatever they are doing to earn SB's. Personally I don't find the payout to be worth the time, but I could be wrong!
     7) Attempt a Gold Survey: Click on this link to get to the "Answer" section of Swagbucks where will find all of the survey's.  All you have to do is try to do a survey to cross this item off of your list.
     8) Complete a Gold Survey: This can be easier said than done.  It can take a few tries to qualify for a survey. Most of the time if you don't qualify you will still earn 1-5 SB's just for trying. Don't get discouraged here, try a few and then move on if you want. Before you click on a survey it will show you how long each one will take as well as how many SB's you can earn. (Don't forget to fill our your Profile Survey found on the right hand side of the Answer section to help weed out the surveys you won't qualify for!)

4) Daily Goal: At the top of your home screen you will find the Daily Goal. Each day can be a different goal of SB's to earn which will in turn earn you bonus SB's.

5) Refer your friends: A super simple way to earn SB's! If you like what you are doing share it with your friends, you will earn $3 in SB once they have earned their first 300 SB's in their first month.  You will also earn 10% of their lifetime earnings!

6) Shopping with Swagbucks: All you have to do is click through the store link in Swagbucks to be awarded! Typically you will earn a percentage of SB's per $1 spent.  You can do this online or print out or show the cashier your QR code found when clicking on the store you are shopping in. ( I have used this at Best Buy when purchasing my Disney gift cards! See my first post on Saving with Shopkick for details on that purchase. While you are there sign up for ShopKick and read the post to learn how user friendly this app is!

****As of May 2, 2019. Best Buy is up in the air right now as to if SB's are being rewarded on gift card purchases or not. I will update once we know for sure whats going on.

7) A word on "Money Makers".  A money maker is something you purchase or sign up for that makes you more money than it costs you.   For example: Hulu right now when you sign up is 3000SB's ($30!) your first month only costs $5.99 so with this offer you will earn $24!  Now if you love Hulu great keep up your subscription, if you don't wish to keep it be sure to cancel before the month is up and they charge you again.  Make note that some of these deals require you to not cancel within a certain window of time or else they may revoke your SB's. Be sure to make a note or set an alarm on your phone on the day you need to cancel for these types of offers.
This is a great way to try things out you have been interested in like KidPik, FabFitFun or Dollar Shave Club!

Be sure to never give out information you are uncomfortable with sharing.  If you get halfway though a survey and you don't want to answer the question you can usually click "prefer not to answer" or just quit the survey.

Redeeming your Swagbucks:  I highly recommend you cash out your first $25 gift card each month and don't save up for a larger card.  Your first $25 card is typically highly discounted so it makes sense to take advantage of that card each month. For instance my first $25 virtual Visa card was 13% off! Subsequent cards are only 1-2% off.

Now 100SB's per $1 doesn't seem like a whole lot until you look at the bigger picture! earning 2,175 SB's each month to get you that discounted $25 virtual visa will add up to $300 in a year. I think this number is on the small end considering my first month has already earned me over $100!

So check out Swagbucks what do you have to lose? Be sure to ask any questions you may have along the way I am more than happy to help you out on your saving journey!

What are you saving up for currently? For me it is next years Disney trip of course! I am determined to pay for the entire trip on my own between my money saving apps and my sewing jobs!

Money Saving apps Post #1 Shop Kick

I have recently re-discovered a bunch of money saving apps. I had downloaded a few of them years ago, but never made the effort to learn how to use them. Boy am I kicking myself now!  To think of all the money I could have been earning just by doing what I do every day! After our recent Disney trip I decided we just must go again, as everyone knows Disney is not cheap so I went searching on Facebook for help.  I came across a page for everything Saving for Disney which includes a lot of helpful hints as well as ways to save/make money for Disney (or anything you want).

The first App I want to introduce you to is Shopkick. In a nutshell you have your Shopkick app at the ready while at a variety of different stores including places like Target, Meijer, Best Buy, Walgreens etc.

Ways to earn kicks:

1) Walk-Ins: some stores will give you points simply for walking into their store! Have your app open as you walk in and your points should immediately show up. If a store has a walk-in opportunity you will see an icon of a walking person underneath it.

2) Scanning: Once you have clicked on the store you are at you will see a variety of items listed.  All you have to do is find that item while you are already walking through the store and scan it.

3) Purchasing: If you purchase one of the items on the list you just take a quick pic of your receipt and you will get points, typically quite a few.  Keep in mind you aren't saving if this item isn't something you already meant to purchase (this is how they get ya).

4) Points per $1: Some stores will also include a points per $1 spent. You will see a credit card icon under the store if this is the case.  Most stores seem to be 1 kick per $1 spent. Although Carter's is 3 kicks per $1 spent  which is a great deal if you are already going to be shopping for kids clothes!

5) Linking a credit card: This is the one way I have not tried out yet, from what I understand once you link your credit card to your account you will automatically receive your kicks immediately without having to scan your receipt. Stores like Carter's mentioned above require a linked credit card as you cannot scan in your receipts to this store.

6) Online shopping: There is an extensive list of online stores you can shop with to earn kicks/$ spent.  Just click not the store link through the Shopkick app and you are good to go!

7) Referral Bonus: HERE is where we can both earn some quick kicks! Use my referral code when you join.  You can click on the link here or enter in my code in the promotions area (click on your pic in the top left hand corner, scroll down to promotions, click on "Add friend code"). My referral code is EARN778236 All you have to do is earn your first kicks within 7 days by walking into a listed store or scanning an item and you and I will both receive 250 Kicks!

Now for the details.

*In general 500 kicks = $1
for example a $25 Walmart gift card will be 6,250 kicks.
If you would prefer to have your reward sent to your PayPal account you can do that too $25= 6,300 kicks.

*Your kicks can expire if your account is inactive for 6 months.  Inactive means you haven't earned any kicks in that time period.

*You can cash out for as low as $2 or 500 Kicks.

Now for the Disney fun! From what I have found so far this is your best bet for getting Disney gift cards the cheapest.

1) Cash in your Kicks for a PayPal credit, use your Best Buy credit card (or any credit card) at Best Buy to purchase $100 in Disney gift cards. Be sure to have your Swag Bucks app open so they can scan your QR code to earn your SwagBucks.

For Example: cash out $100 to your PayPal account (25,200 Kicks) Go to a Best Buy store and grab $100 in Disney gift cards. Make sure to have the cashier scan your SwagBucks QR code (HERE is a link to SwagBucks you will automatically earn 150 swagbucks just for using my link). I will be making a separate post for SwagBucks soon, in the meantime just let me know if you have any questions! Scanning your SwagBucks QR code earns you 2% back (this number may change be sure to check) plus when you spend the $100 you will get an additional 750 points. This will save you over 10% off your cards in swag bucks alone! Now if you have a Best Buy credit card you may use that and earn an additional 5% back in Best Buy rewards.
*The best way to do this deal is only purchasing $100 gift cards at a time as you can only get that 750($7.50) bonus once a day.

Now while you are in Best Buy you should have already earned Kicks just for walking through the door, and currently I'm showing 750 Kicks available just in scanning items as you walk around.

2) Now if you want to make it super easy you can just cash out for a Disney gift card to begin with

3) You can also cash out for a Walmart gift card and use this at Sams Club where they have slightly discounted Disney Gift cards (as of right now the best way to buy them is the $50 stand alone gift cards not the packs of gift cards).

WOW that's a lot of information! I have been doing ALOT of reading and I wanted to pass along all my info to you so you will not only save money, but also time from having to learn all of this on your own.

In my first 2 days I earned 900 kicks just for going to the grocery store I always shop at! Bonus for those shopping with kids, my kids have a lot of fun searching for the items on the list and of course using my phone to scan them, so much so there may have been some arguing about who gets to go next!

I think that about covers it, but please ask any questions you may have I know I put a lot of information out there.  Look for more money saving app reviews coming.

Be sure to Follow me, and if you enjoy what you are reading share it with your friends. Thank You!

100 Disney Movie Challenge!

We recently took the kids on a VERY impromptu trip to Disney! I'm talking the idea came up and we were there within 2 weeks! I had always wanted to watch a bunch of Disney movies before we went like a movie bucket list of sorts.  Considering we had no time to do so before hand I set out to begin once we got home.  I searched and searched for a list that was just right, but I couldn't find one that had a good mix of all the movies I wanted to be on it.  Here is what I came up with on my own I hope you enjoy it, we are having fun so far with it.

I printed out our list (it takes 4 pages) taped together and hung up on the side of our fridge! The kids are loving crossing off the movies we have watched.  We have seen a few on this list of course, but I think it will be fun to see how many we can watch/re-watch in the next year. As I type they are watching another one right now :) I guess all this snow we are having  is good for watching movies.

Here is a link for you to download your own copy of our list.  I hope you enjoy it!
